The Cheapest Coffee Shop in San Antonio
I purchased two latte's for under $8. I go to a lot of coffee shops, and I can't remember the last time I was able to walk away with two latte's for under $8.

CBC Coffee Shop might just be San Antonio’s best-kept coffee secret. Tucked inside Community Bible Church—one of the city’s largest churches—this cozy spot isn’t even listed on Google Maps yet.
But don't let its hidden location fool you: this is a real-deal coffee shop, brewing up authentic espresso drinks with the gold standard of machines, a La Marzocco.
And if a coffee shop uses a La Marzocco espresso machine, then you know it's a legit operation.
How Cheap Is CBC Coffee?
Despite the fact that they're clearly using a high-quality espresso machine, and the taste of the latte would indicate they're not skimping out on bean quality either... they're still very affordable.
I purchased two latte's for under $8. I go to a lot of coffee shops in San Antonio, Waco, Houston, Austin, and all over the country. So that's kind of a big deal when I can't remember the last time I was able to walk away with two latte's for under $8.

Who It's For
CBC coffee shop is not just for church members. Anybody is welcome there. I'm not a member of the church and I thoroughly enjoy stopping in for their coffee.
The Community Bible Church also routinely sends mission teams to take care of the homeless and hungry both in San Antonio, and other cities in the US. They also send missions teams around the world providing assistance in countless ways. This coffee shop is just another way that they're able to do those things, so you're contributing to a good cause while sipping on your latte.
Friendly Tips:
- This cozy spot only serves drinks—no food on the menu—but if you’re feeling snacky, no worries! There are vending machines nearby, including some in the education building right down the hall.
- Most of the folks behind the counter are amazing church volunteers who keep things running with care and kindness. Just a heads-up: if you swing by during church service times, you might hit a line that takes up to 30 minutes.
- Plan ahead if you can—it’s totally worth the wait. The specials are delightful, the vibe is peaceful and welcoming, and each cup comes with a little Bible verse to brighten your day.
Signature Drinks & What To Try
While CBC Coffee Shop doesn’t have a big flashy “Signature Drinks” menu, there are definitely a few favorites you’ll want to try.
If you’re not sure what to order, start with the caramel oat milk latte—smooth, not too sweet, and a customer favorite. Just keep in mind, their Caramel Syrup is Sugar Free.
If sugar free isn't your thing (it certainly is NOT mine), then go with my drink of choice which is the Brown Sugar Latte (hot or iced, doesn't matter – it's delicious either way).
They also have a Cinnamon Latte which is great as well.
Ambiance & Seating
With a spacious interior, comfy seating, warm lighting, and soft music in the background, it’s the kind of place where conversations feel a little deeper and quiet moments linger.
So, sit down and stay for a while. Bring your laptop, get some work in, or go on Sunday before one of their services (or after) and pick up a drink.
Parking
If you know me, one of my biggest pet peeves is trying to go to a business only to discover that there isn't enough parking anywhere nearby.
That's not the case at CBC.
You can practically park right outside the front doors of the church and walk inside. On a Sunday, you might not be able to park that close, but the parking lot is so massive, you'll never have a problem finding a spot.
A Final Word
Whether you’re looking for a cozy corner to relax, a quiet spot to work, or just a seriously good latte, CBC Coffee Shop is worth finding. Go for the coffee, stay for the atmosphere—and maybe leave with a little extra inspiration for your day.
